Design Concierge

Design Concierge

Who this is for

The Design Concierge helps customers visualize their project and refines the design details that go into a proposal — product selections, finishes, and renderings. If your day is spent in the Configurator and Imagine tools helping customers "see" the finished product, this is your role.

What you can access

Sidebar pages:

  • Mission Control (/)
  • Customers and Opportunities
  • My Schedule (/my-schedule)
  • Price Book (/pricebook) and Catalog (/libraries)
  • Configurator (/configurator)
  • Imagine (/imagine) and Inspirations / Gallery
  • Proposals (/proposals)
  • Communications and Training

What you cannot do

  • You cannot see Dispatch, Routing, Schedule (team-wide), or Field Portal.
  • You cannot see Appointments or Call Recordings directly — coordinate with the Door Expert or CSR if you need context from a consultation call.
  • You cannot see Payments or Projects.
  • You cannot edit a sent Proposal — they're immutable; corrections require reversing/reissuing through the Door Expert or Manager.
  • No /admin/* access, except that Warranty Content is Admin/Manager only — you select warranties within the Workbench but don't edit the underlying warranty library.

Your typical day

  1. Check Mission Control for opportunities that need design work today.
  2. Pull up an Opportunity and review the customer's goals from the Door Expert's notes.
  3. Use Configurator to build out the exact product configuration per opening.
  4. Use Imagine to generate a visual rendering of the finished project on the customer's actual home photo.
  5. Browse Inspirations/Gallery with the customer (or send links) for style ideas.
  6. Check Price Book/Catalog to confirm current products and pricing before finalizing a configuration.
  7. Contribute to the Proposal — assigning styled items to openings in the Workbench alongside the Door Expert.

Step-by-step guides

Configure a product for an opening

  1. Open /configurator from an opportunity.
  2. Input: opening dimensions, product family, finish/style options.
  3. What happens: a priced, visual configuration is produced that can be pulled directly into an estimate or proposal.

Generate a visualization

  1. Open /imagine.
  2. Input: a photo of the customer's home (uploaded or selected from the record) and the product/style to apply.
  3. What happens: an AI-generated rendering shows the "after" look — useful for closing a design decision with the customer in real time.

Browse inspirations/gallery with a customer

  1. Open Inspirations or Gallery.
  2. Input: none — browse by style/category.
  3. What happens: view example projects; share links or screenshots with the customer to help them choose finishes.

Contribute to a proposal (Workbench)

  1. Open /workbench for the opportunity.
  2. Input: assign the configured/styled items to each opening, select warranties.
  3. What happens: once the Door Expert (or you, if you're the one sending) clicks Send, the proposal becomes immutable. Double-check style/finish selections before send — there's no editing after.

Check pricing before finalizing

  1. Open /pricebook or /libraries.
  2. Input: none — search/filter for the product.
  3. What happens: confirms current price and availability so the Configurator output matches what's actually sellable.

Edge cases

  • Duplicate customer: if you're asked to design for a customer who already has an open opportunity elsewhere, check Opportunities first — don't start a fresh configuration under a duplicate record.
  • Wrong pipeline stage: if an opportunity is still in New Lead but you've been asked to do design work, confirm with the Door Expert that a consultation actually happened — design work generally follows the consult, not before it.
  • Immutable proposal needing correction: if a customer wants to change a finish after the proposal was sent, you cannot edit it. The Door Expert/Manager must unsell and you'll rebuild the design portion in a new Workbench pass.
  • Missing property data: if the home photo needed for Imagine isn't on the customer record, ask the customer for one or use a similar stock angle — this doesn't block the estimate/proposal, just the visualization step.
  • Price Book item missing or discontinued: if a Configurator selection doesn't have current pricing, don't guess — flag it to a Manager/Admin, since it may indicate a Price Book gap or (for certain door/slab materials) a known ServiceTitan mapping block.
