General FAQ
What is YND OS?
YND OS is YourNewDoor.com's internal sales operations app, covering everything from the first lead to a completed install. Read the full overview in Welcome to YND OS.
How do I sign in?
Use your company account on the YND OS sign-in page. If you're new, an Admin needs to create your account first. See Signing In.
Why can't I see a page I expect to see?
Your sidebar is built from your assigned role, plus any extra pages granted to you individually through Permission Sets (/admin/permission-sets). If a page isn't in your role's default set and hasn't been granted to you, it won't appear.

- To request access: Role Assignment Request.
Why did I land on /access-denied?
You navigated (or clicked a link) to a page your role/permissions don't include. This is expected behavior — see Signing In for what to do next.
Are Executive and Admin the same?
They look identical in the app — both bypass all page gates and can see every nav item. The difference is on the backend: only Admin can invite new users or edit permission sets. Executives cannot.
Why can I open some pages that aren't in my sidebar?
A handful of routes aren't gated by role yet, including /bookings/new, /estimate, /workbench, /csr-intake, and most /admin/* pages. Any signed-in user can technically open these by typing the URL. This is a known gap, not a feature — stick to the pages that are part of your actual job.
Why does everyone see Communications and Training?
Those two are intentionally open to all signed-in users, regardless of role.
Where's the approvals queue?
/approvals exists for managers but isn't linked in the sidebar. Ask your manager or an admin for the direct link if approvals are part of your job.

Tip: Most "missing page" and "why can't I do this" questions come down to role and permission sets — check Navigation before assuming something's broken.
