What it is
Dispatch (/dispatch) and Routing (/routing) work together to coordinate field visits: Dispatch shows who's assigned to what, and Routing helps plan efficient routes between appointments.
Who can use it
Dispatcher, CSR, and Manager. Admin and Executive bypass all page gates.
How to get there
/dispatch and /routing.
Key screen areas
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Dispatch board | Appointments/jobs assigned to field staff for the day |
| Routing planner | Geographic/route view to sequence stops efficiently |
Step-by-step how-tos
Assign a field visit
- Go to
/dispatch. - Find the unassigned appointment or job.
- Assign it to the appropriate Door Expert, Project Manager, or installer.
Plan an efficient route
- Go to
/routing. - Review the day's stops and their order.
- Reorder or reassign stops to minimize drive time between appointments.
Coordinate with the team calendar
- Cross-check
/dispatchagainst/scheduleif you need to see the fuller team calendar alongside dispatch assignments.
Tips & Warnings
Tip: Use Routing before the day starts, not after — reordering stops mid-day after someone has already left is much less effective.
Note: Dispatch and Routing share the same role access (Dispatcher, CSR, Manager), so if you can see one, you can see the other.
Warning: Dispatch assignments don't automatically notify customers of a time change — confirm with the customer separately if you move an appointment.
